Lawrence A. “Larry” Geis

Lawrence A. “Larry” Geis, of Shakopee, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025. He was 91 years old.

Visitation Monday, December 8, 2025, from 4-6 PM, at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, 1220 3rd Ave. East, Shakopee. Visitation also Tuesday, December 9, from 10-11 AM, at St. Mary of the Purification Catholic Church, 15850 Marystown Rd, Shakopee, MN, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at St. Mary’s of Marystown Catholic Cemetery, followed by a reception in the social hall.

Larry is survived by his son, Gerard (Jill) Geis; daughter, Michelle (Darrin) Keiper; grandchildren, Angela, Melissa, Sam, Hallie, Cole, Jaycee, Jade, and Will; great-granddaughter, Evelyn; and sister, Helen (Bernie) Baumann; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy; his parents, Alfred and Clara Geis, an infant son, Verdon; brothers, Verdon and Dewain.
