LE SUEUR MAN FACES FIVE FELONY CHARGES IN CONNECTION TO SATURDAY STANDOFF
A Le Sueur man is facing five felony charges in connection with a police standoff Saturday in downtown Le Sueur. 39-year-old Bobby Joe Angeloff is also facing a gross misdemeanor for the incident which sparked a multi-agency response. Authorities say that around 2:18 Saturday afternoon, Le Sueur police received a report of a man identified as Angeloff had allegedly slashed tires on two vehicles and was locked inside a home at 407-Main Street. His girlfriend told authorities that concerns about being evicted prompted the incident. He had barricaded himself inside the home with his six-year-old child and threatened suicide. Angeloff faces charges of felony kidnapping, two charges of domestic assault, threats of violence, and child endangerment and a gross misdemeanor charge of third-degree criminal damage to property. He appeared in Le Sueur County Court Monday and the court set bail at $1-million with no conditions, $750,000 with conditions. He is being held in the Le Sueur County jail.
