Leslie “Les” West

Les West, age 77 of Hancock, Minnesota, passed away Monday February 3, 2025.

Celebration of Life for Leslie “Les” West will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. in the banquet room at the Hudson Inn in Morris, MN. In honor of Les, please wear your best or worst flannel shirt.

Leslie ‘Les’ Myron West was born on June 15, 1947, to Leslie and Grace West in Minneapolis, MN. Les was married to the love of his life, Diane Benish, at St. Ann’s Church in Minneapolis. They had three children, Mark, Jennifer and Sara.

Les is survived by his children: Mark (Tanya) West of Buffalo, MN, Jennifer (Mike) Walter of Belle Plaine, MN, and Sara (Nick) Harris of Sandstone, MN; ten grandchildren: Jaylynn Peterson of Hinckley, MN, Laine Peterson of Isanti, MN, Tristan West of Buffalo, MN, Lauren Walter of Vermillion, SD, Audrey Harris of Sandstone, MN, Dawson West of Alexandria, MN, Laci Harris of Sandstone, MN, Olivia Walter of Belle Plaine, MN, Julia Walter of Belle Plaine, MN, and Riley West of Buffalo, MN; and extended family, and friends.

Les is preceded in death by his wife Diane, and parents: Leslie and Grace.
