Lester Curtis Fredrickson, 91, of Elko, MN and Casa Grande, AZ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 15, 2025. He was born on May 10, 1934, in Northfield, son of Axel Fredrickson and Clara (Miller) Fredrickson.
Lester attended Northfield High School. He began working at Despatch Industries in the Electrical Department at the age of 17 and retired at 62 after a long and dedicated career.
Lester was married to Donna Mae (Damann) Fredrickson for 67 wonderful years until her passing in 2022. Together, they built a loving family and a life filled with cherished memories.
Lester was a devoted family man and a proud member of his community.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, which included 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his wife, Donna Mae Fredrickson; grandson, Jason Rexford Pexa; and son-in-law, Robert Steven Jirak.
He is survived by his children, Diane (Mark) Henry of Pine River, MN, and Casa Grande, AZ, Bonnie (Bryan) Pexa of Elko, MN, Darrel (Ana) Fredrickson of Apple Valley, MN, Brenda (Emil) Pexa of Elko, MN, ReNae Jirak of Faribault, MN, and Casa Grande, AZ, and Tammy (Edward) Zahratka of Elko, MN.
A visitation will be held at St. John’s Church in Lakeville on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Kim.
Burial will take place at Lakeville Grove Cemetery, with a reception to follow at St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Pallbearers honoring Lester’s memory will include Brandon Fredrickson, Preston Fredrickson, Cory Henry, Ricky Henry, Travis Jirak, Jared Pexa
Lester’s legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
