LIGHTS OK’D FOR HIGHWAY 14 COUNTY ROAD 11 ESSIG

Brown County Commissioners unanimously approved a resolution authorizing a MnDOT agreement for LED lights for the intersection just south of Carl’s Corner in Essig.  The agreement says MnDOT will fund lighting system installation estimated to cost $30,000.  Brown County will assume project ownership and maintenance responsibilities estimated at $600 a year.  The Milford Township board requested to add streetlights on Highway 14 and County Road 11 for safety considerations.  That intersection was also noted for rural lights in the 2012 MnDOT County Road Safety Plan.
