Local Baseball and Softball teams make NCAA D3 Tourney

(Undated) — A pair of Division III Minnesota baseball teams have qualified for the upcoming N-C-A-A Tournament and will be in action this week. Bethel will play an opening round game at UW-LaCrosse on Friday at 11 A-M. The Royals are 23-14 on the year, while the host Eagles are 31-13. Crown College will play at UW-Whitewater on Friday in an opening round game at 11 A-M. The Polars are 21-20 this season, while the host Warhawks are 35-8. The regional winners will advance to Super Regionals next weekend.

(Undated) — Three Minnesota-based college softball programs earned invites to the N-C-A-A Tournament, which starts this week at various campus sites around the country. Bethel will play in a regional at Central College in Pella, Iowa, beginning on Thursday. The 30-9 Royals face UW-Whitewater at 2:30 P-M. Saint Benedict will take a 24-17 record into an opening round game at UW-Oshkosh on Thursday at noon. Saint Mary’s is 31-9 on the season and will play against DePauw (IN) on Thursday at 2:30 P-M in Greencastle, Indiana. The regional winners will advance to the D-III Super Regionals next week.
