Plenty of Boys basketball results from Friday.

Boy’s Basketball  results:

St Peter has five players score in double figures as the Saints defeat New Ulm 88 to 70. Also in the Big South-Luverne defeats St James 97 to 51, Windom outscores Redwood Valley 100 to 97, Fairmont edges Jackson County Central 40 to 38 and Marshall was a 89 to 60 winner over Belle Plaine. Tomahawk finals-Springfield was a 77 to 52 winner over St Mary’s, Wabasso edges Sleepy Eye 84 to 81 and Lester Prairie defeats GFW 72 to 51. South Central finals-MVL was a 96 to 71 win over St Clair and LCWM remains unbeaten in the conference with a 53 to 49 win over Sibley East. Down in the Valley-Loyola was a 77 to 69 winner over Nicollet, Cleveland defeats Alden/Conger/Glenville/Emmons 84 to 59 and Madelia was an 89 to 56 winner over GHECML/Truman. Sauk Centre picks up a conference win over BOLD 56 to 43.

Girl’s Basketball:

New Ulm gets a Big South win over St Peter 73 to 47. St James edges Luverne 61 to 60, Redwood Valley defeats Windom 87 to 63, Jackson County Central holds off Fairmont 68 to 63 and Marshall was a big winner over Belle Plaine 83 to 51. Tomahawk finals-Sleepy Eye was a 90 to 35 winner over Wabasso, Lester Prairie defeats GFW 78 to 46 and BLHS was a 60 to 51 winner over Cedar Mountain. Red Rock finals-Edgerton defeats Red Rock Central 75 to 28, Hills/Beaver Creek was a 66 to 29 winner over Mountain Lake Area/Comfrey and Westbrook/Walnut Grove edges RTR 49 to 48.

Wrestling:

LCWM goes 1 and 2 at the Holdingford Duels, defeating Brainerd and losing to Holdingford and Mounds View.

Boy’s Hockey:

Luverne comes to New Ulm and defeats the Eagles 5 to 2 and Morris/Benson was an 8 to 7 winner over Fairmont.

Girl’s Hockey:

Fairmont was a 5 to 2 winner over Morris/Benson and Marshall shuts out South Central 7 to 0.

College Women’s Hockey:

Gustavus defeats St Catherine 5 to 0.
