Girl’s Basketball:

St Mary’s Tip off tourney results:

SESM defeats BOLD 85 to 55 and Waterville/Elysian/Morristown was a 75 to 47 winner over Sleepy Eye. Wabasso tourney day two scores: MaCCray defeats Murray County Central 49 to 39, Heron Lake/Okabena/Fulda was a 62 to 45 winner over GFW and Westbrook/Walnut Grove defeats Wabasso 67 to 25.

Sauk Centre takes it to St Clair 80 to 36.

Boy’s Hockey:

Luverne traveled to Lesueur and pick up a 5 to 2 win over Minnesota River.

Girl’s Hockey:

New Ulm traveled to Woog Arena and was defeated by South St Paul 2 to 0.

NCAA Division 3 Football Tournament had opening round games Saturday. Bethel advances to the second round with a 37 to 26 win over Coe College and UW/Lacrosse eliminates the UMAC Champion, Northwestern, 59 to 14.  Saturday, Bethel heads to Lake Forest and Lacrosse travels to Collegeville to take on St John’s.

The Minnesota Gophers lose to Penn State 26 to 25.
