Lynx add two in draft

(Brooklyn, NY) — The Minnesota Lynx are building for the future. The team selected a pair of players during the 2024 W-N-B-A Draft last night. With the eighth overall selection, Minnesota took Utah Utes forward Alissa Pili (peel-ee). She averaged 21-point-four points and six-point-six rebounds in 34 games with the Utes last season. Her brother Brandon plays for the Miami Dolphins. The Lynx also selected Louisville guard Kiki Jefferson in the third round of the draft. Iowa’s Caitlin Clark was the top overall pick, going to the Indiana Fever. Clark became the first player from the Big Ten to be the top overall selection in the draft since Minnesota’s Janelle McCarville was the number-one overall pick in 2005, taken by Charlotte.
