Lynx In Seattle Without Collier
(Seattle, WA) — The Minnesota Lynx will be without star player Napheesa Collier when they play tonight’s game (Tuesday) at the Seattle Storm.
Collier suffered an ankle injury in Saturday’s blowout road win in Las Vegas. The team announced Monday that Collier suffered a right ankle sprain, which will be re-evaluated in the “coming weeks.” Collier returned home after the Saturday game and is not with the team in Seattle tonight.
The 24-5 Lynx take on the 16-13 Storm tonight at 9 PM.
In other team news, Collier was named the WNBA Western Conference Player of the Month for a third time this season. She averaged 23-point-one points and six-point-nine rebounds in 12 July contests In addition, head coach Cheryl Reeve was named the WNBA Western Conference Coach of the Month for her work in July.
Minnesota was 9-3 in July.
This was the third monthly coaching honor for Reeve in her career.
