Lynx make moves
(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Lynx announced the team has re-signed guard Natisha Hiedeman and signed French Olympic team center Marième Badiane. Badiane will begin her W-N-B-A career with the Lynx. Per team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed. Hiedeman, a Green Bay, Wis. native, appeared in all 40 games for the Lynx last season. Originally selected by the Lynx in the 2019 W-N-B-A Draft with the 18th overall pick, the Marquette University product was traded to Connecticut on draft night where she helped the Sun reach the 2022 W-N-B-A Finals. Badiane, a 6-3 center, has been a strong presence on the French national team and in the EuroLeague. She helped lead France to a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, barely falling short (67-66) to Reeve, Napheesa Collier and Team U-S-A in the Gold Medal game.
