Lynx Move To Semi-finals
Down by as much as 17 points the Lynx stormed from behind to beat the Valkyries 75-74 to move on in the playoffs. Golden State led 41-28 at the half and 63-49 through three quarters. But the final frame saw Minnesota start on an 11-0 run and rode that momentum to a late lead. The Valkyries did have a last second jumper at the buzzer but it hit the rim and the Lynx are off to the semifinals for the second straight season. Napheesa Collier had 24 points for Minnesota while Kayla McBride added 18. Coach Cheryl Reeve says her team kept pushing despite a big deficit.
The Lynx will face the winner between the Liberty and Mercury. The Mercury won 86-60 on Wednesday night to tie the series at 1-1. The final game in the best of three series will be Friday night at 8 P-M from Phoenix.
