Lynx Star Rips W-N-B-A Commissioner
(Minnesota News Network- Minneapolis, MN) — Minnesota Lynx star forward Napheesa Collier went “scorched earth” in her assessment of the leadership of the W-N-B-A during a news briefing yesterday in Minneapolis. Collier, who was injured during a very physical semifinals series, says the W-N-B-A has “the worst leadership in the world.” Collier criticized W-N-B-A Commissioner Cathy Engelbert over issues of officiating, player safety, player salaries, and revenue distribution. Collier says the real threat to the league is “the lack of accountability from the league office.” It comes after the Lynx were eliminated from the playoffs by the Phoenix Mercury Sunday night.
