Lynx trade for Carrington, Blast Vegas
(Las Vegas, NV/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Lynx blew out Las Vegas on Saturday, 111-58. The 53-point margin of victory was the largest margin of victory for a road team in W-N-B-A history. Kayla McBride hit eight three-pointers, and the Lynx overall hit 17 threes. Jessica Shepard and Napheesa Collier each scored 18. Collier left the game with an ankle injury late in the third quarter. Minnesota is at Seattle tomorrow (Tuesday) night.
The Minnesota Lynx have traded Diamond Miller and Karlie Samuelson, and a 2027 second-round pick, for guard DiJonai Carrington from the Dallas Wings. Carrington was traded from Connecticut to Dallas in February. She played in 20 games this season with the Wings and averaged 10.4 points a game and a career-high 5.1 rebounds per game.
