Lynx wrap up regular season with 34th win

(Minneapolis, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota Lynx got up early and cruised to aa 72-53 win on Thursday night over Golden State. The Lynx led 17-8 after the first quarter and 34-22 at the half. The final frame saw Minnesota put their foot on the gas and outscore the Valkyries 25-12 to cement the win. Napheesa Collier finished the game with 19 points and finished the season with a 50-40-90. That’s 50 percent field goal percentage, 40 percent from three point range and 90 percent from the line. She’s just the second player in W-N-B-A history to accomplish that. Collier and the Lynx finish the season with a 34-10 record overall and the best record in the W-N-B-A. They’ll also finish the season 20-2 at Target Center. The Lynx and Valkyries will meet in the first round of the playoffs starting Sunday in Minneapolis.
