Lynx Wrap Up Regular Season

The Minnesota Lynx got up early and cruised to aa 72-53 win on Thursday night over Golden State. The Lynx led 17-8 after the first quarter and 34-22 at the half. The final frame saw Minnesota put their foot on the gas and outscore the Valkyries 25-12 to cement the win. Napheesa Collier finished the game with 19 points and finished the season with a 50-40-90. That’s 50 percent field goal percentage, 40 percent from three point range and 90 percent from the line. She’s just the second player in W-N-B-A history to accomplish that. Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve on Collier going after the 50-40-90 goal and deserves the MVP for reaching it.

Collier and the Lynx finish the season with a 34-10 record overall and the best record in the W-N-B-A. They’re also 20-2 at Target Center and that’s where the playoffs will begin next week for Minnesota when they host the Valkyries in their first round postseason matchup.
