MAN ACCUSED OF SMOKE SHOP BURGLARY IN COURT
A New Ulm man accused of breaking into Smoke N Cloud at 7th North and Broadway appeared in court Tuesday. Court documents say 46-year-old Justin Dennis Tollefson is charged with one felony count of third-degree burglary, one count of felony possession of burglary or theft tools and one felony of first-degree damage to property stemming from an incident January 14. New Ulm Police were called around midnight to a burglary alarm and found the glass door had been completely shattered with a suspect in a red hoodie and ski mask smashing the glass with a bar and stealing several boxes of product. The complaint says the store owner arrived a short time later and identified the suspect as Tollefson, who frequented the store and bought the products he is accused of stealing. He was arrested Friday. A search of his residence recovered stolen merchandise valued at over $1048. Damage to the store front estimated over $1000.
