MAN ARRESTED IN HUTCHINSON AFTER ALLEGEDLY STEALING BUS

A Waverly man was arrested in Hutchinson Saturday morning after stealing a school bus in Wright County.

Hutchinson Police received information from the Wright County Sheriff’s Office around 9 am that they had discontinued the pursuit of a stolen school bus that an adult male suspect was driving and believed he was going to an address in Hutchinson.

The bus was seen in the area of the suspected destination and a high-risk traffic stop was performed.

Verbal commands were given at gunpoint and the suspect complied and exited the vehicle.

Authorities say 41-year-old Joshua Thomas Moist was taken into custody and transported back to Wright County to face charges.
