Man Charged in Renville County for Possession of Child Pornography

A man that was arrested in Bird Island accused of possession of child pornography has been charged.

Forty-five-year-old Travis Jon Olson of Cottonwood has been charged with one felony count of possession of child pornography.

The Sheriff’s Office said on Friday (Aug 8), they became aware of a man, later identified as Olson, who had attempted to solicit teens online.

Deputies then made contact with Olson and verified his phone contained images of what was suspected to be child pornography.

Olson was then arrested and taken to the Renville County Jail.
