MAN CHARGED IN ST. JAMES STABBING

A 23-year-old St. James man has been charged in a stabbing in St. James Tuesday night.  Antonio Trevino is facing a felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon charge.  The male victim went to the Watonwan County Sheriff’s Office with multiple stab wounds around 10:30 Tuesday night.  He was taken to Mayo Clinic in St. James and then taken to Rochester for treatment of a collapsed lung.  While at the hospital, the victim was able to identify Trevino as the one who stabbed him.  Trevino refused to be interviewed by police after he was taken into custody.  The victim is listed in stable condition.
