MAN HIT BY TRAIN NEAR JANESVILLE

A man was hit by a train near Janesville Christmas Eve.  The Waseca County Sheriff’s Office says they were called just after 7 pm when CPKC Railway reported that one of their trains had struck a person that was on the railroad tracks.  Emergency personnel found the man who was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for unknown injuries.  The sheriff’s office and the CPKC Police are investigation the incident.  The man’s name has not yet been released.
