MAN INDICTED IN MAPLETON MURDER

A Blue Earth County grand jury indicted a Mapleton man on multiple murder and driving charges stemming from a domestic incident in June that left one person dead.  47-year-old Troy Almjheld was formally charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree murder and two gross misdemeanor counts of driving while impaired.   Court records say that Almjheld killed his father, 71-year-old Blaine Almjheld in the Mapleton apartment that they shared.  If he is convicted, he faces life in prison.
