MAN THREATENS DETOX STAFF
A Willmar man is charged with two felony counts of threats of violence and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct after an alleged incident at the Brown County Evaluation Center in New Ulm Saturday. The complaint says New Ulm police were called after 37-year-old Tyler Hill started to threaten staff after being told to put a shirt on. Staff reported that Hill emerged from his room without a shirt and when told to put one on, he allegedly followed a staff member to an office and threatened them. He was taken to the Brown County Jail and reportedly remained volatile allegedly attempting to harm himself and threatening officers by using social media to “track them to their homes.” Conditional bail was set at $5000, unconditional bail set at $20,000.
