MANKATO MAN WHO PLEAD GUILTY TO MURDER IS SENTENCED

The Mankato man who plead guilty to second-degree murder this spring in connection with a December shooting has been sentenced.  19-year-old Guenther Boone, Jr. was sentenced to just over 30 years in prison for the shooting death of Darious Dashon Johnson December 21 last year in Mankato.  Boone was initially indicted on five charges including first and second-degree murder, possessing a firearm withno serial number and possession without a permit.  As part of a plea agreement, all other charges were dropped when Boone plead guilty to second-degree murder.  Boone will service his sentence at the Minnesota Department of Corrections Facility in St. Cloud.
