MANKATO POLICE IDENTIFY MURDER VICTIM

Mankato authorities have identified the person who was shot and killed over the weekend in Mankato.  Police say 31-year-old Darious Dashon Johnson of Mankato was shot and killed Saturday.  Police say he was found dead inside a vehicle in the 100 block of Grove Street around 3:15 am Saturday.   A search warrant was executed on the 500 block of East Walnut Street where Guenther Boone, Jr. was taken into custody.  He is being held iin the Blue Earth County Jail on pending second-degree murder charges.
