Manley M. Vinkemeier

Manley M. Vinkemeier, age 79, of Belle Plaine passed away on April 29, 2024. Funeral Service will be 11:00A.M. on Friday, May 3, 2024 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Belle Plaine. Visitation will be 2 hours prior at church on Friday. Rev. Daniel Slaughter will officiate. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Manley was born on January 23, 1945 to Elwin and Violet (Gohlke) Vinkemeier in Faxon Township, Sibley County, MN. He was Baptized and Confirmed at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. He attended Belle Plaine High School and graduated in 1963.  He served in the United States Army. Manley married Gayle Beckman on October 18, 1969 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Belle Plaine, MN. They were blessed with two sons. Manley loved all Minnesota sports teams, playing short stop for (Belle Plaine and the US Army in France), bowling, horses and farming.  He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He loved going to all of his grandkids school and sporting events. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Elwin and Violet Vinkemeier.

He is survived by his wife Gayle of (54 years); sons, Brandt (Brenda) Vinkemeier of Mankato, MN and Jeff (Sheila) Vinkemeier of Belle Plaine, MN; grandchildren, Christina (Drew) Reed, Darian (Travis) Grubb, Jacob (Courtney) Vinkemeier, Justin (Serena) Vinkemeier, Lily, Daisy, Sage and Beau Vinkemeier; Great grandchildren, Brandt Alan and Xander Grubb, Zachary and Nolan Reed, Grayson Vinkemeier and a sister LuVerne (Leon) Koentopf of Glencoe, MN.
