Marjorie A. Alfson

Marjorie Alfson, age 95 of Cyrus, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Minnewaska Lutheran Home in Starbuck, MN.

Visitation for Marjorie Alfson will be held Monday, April 14, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus, MN.

Memorial services for Marjorie Alfson will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cyrus, MN, with Rev. Chris Richards officiating.

Inurnment will be in St. Petri Cemetery in Cyrus at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025, prior to the visitation.

Marjorie Ann Larson was born on September 25, 1929 in Starbuck, Minnesota the daughter of Gunard and Katherine (Maclver) Larson. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Petri Lutheran Church.

Marjorie was employed by various businesses, the longest being the Cyrus Public Schools for 18 years.

She married Orrin Alfson in 1947. Orrin and Marjorie had four daughters: Annelle, Janis, Yvonne, and Wendy.

She is survived by her daughters: Janis Deetz of Cyrus, MN, Yvonne Alfson of Cyrus, MN, and Wendy Gregory of Seabeck, Washington; two grandsons: EJ Gregory and David Lee Deetz; sisters: Joyce (Clarence) Hansen, Lynn (Keith) Asmus, and Cheryl Larson: and three great grandchildren: Charlie, Maeve, and Sally Gregory.

Arrangements are with Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris, MN.
