MARSHALL MAN DIES AFTER BEING HIT BY VEHICLE IN SCOTT COUNTY

A Marshall man was killed after he was hit by a vehicle Friday morning on Highway 169 in Scott County.  The state patrol says 25-year-old Firaol Merbratu was hit around 6 am near Old Brickyard Road.  Authorities say a vehicle was southbound on Highway 169 and the driver maneuvered to the left lane to avoid a stalled vehicle on the right shoulder.  Merbratu was standing in the left lane and was hit.  The driver  and passenger in the vehicle weren’t hurt.
