May Weather Data Released

May weather data gathered by the West Central Research and Outreach Center in Morris was released this week. The high temperature for the month of May reached 89 degrees on both May 14 and 15, while the low temperature for the month was 35 degrees on May 3. Precipitation for the month totaled 3.7 inches and there was no snow measured in the month.

Heating Degree Days for May totaled 245; Growing Degree Days totaled 334; and Cooling Degree Days totaled 43. The average soil temp with a 4 inch maximum was 61.5, while the average soil temp with a 4 inch minimum was 52.1
