McCarthy Ruled Out For Sunday’s Game

The Minnesota Vikings will be without their starting quarterback J-J McCarthy when they play against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in Minneapolis. Head coach Kevin O’Connell says McCarthy suffered an ankle injury in Sunday’s 22-6 loss to Atlanta.  O’Connell explains when the injury took place.

The coach says when McCarthy arrived at the team facility on Monday, the ankle had not responded well and that’s why the Q-B will likely miss Sunday’s game. O’Connell says he doesn’t anticipate this being a long-term injury. O’Connell says running back Aaron Jones will likely miss this week’s game after suffering a hamstring injury on Sunday. This Sunday’s game against Cincy kicks off at noon at U-S Bank Stadium. Coverage begins at 11am on SAM 107.3.
