Meeker County Barn Fire

A turkey barn in Meeker County was destroyed by fire Sunday morning.

At 9:15 A.M., the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a turkey barn fire in the 33000 block of 560th Avenue of the Swede Grove Township.

On arrival, crews found one barn completely engulfed in flames that had collapsed from the damage.

No injuries were reported and no turkeys were in the barn at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire is unknown but believed to be an equipment malfunction.
