Meeker County High Water Advisory

Due to recent rains, many Meeker County Lakes are overflowing their banks.

The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office is issuing an advisory and asking all boaters to reduce their speed to 5 mph or less when they are within 300 feet of shore.

Officials say it will minimize wakes and damage to property and shorelines.

The advisory is for all lakes in the county with special attention to Big Swan Lake, Lake Arvilla, Lake Erie, Lake Minnie Belle, Lake Manuella, and Star Lake.

Water patrol deputies are monitoring the situation and County Administration has been notified of the need for a temporary no-wake ordinance on the aforementioned lakes.
