Meeker County House Fire
A house west of Dassel was damaged by fire Sunday morning.
The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office says at shortly after 9am, they received a report of a fire at a residence in the 500 block of Simon Avenue.
Deputies arrived to see heavy smoke coming out of the second-story window. Fire crews were able to put the fire out however, the house sustained significant fire and smoke damage.
The owner, 65-year-old Connie Pool, and one other occupant, 42-year-old John Klingelhoets, were home at the time of the fire but were not injured.
The fire is believed to be electrical-related, but the exact cause is under investigation.
