MENTAL HEALTH CONFERENCE WEDNESDAY IN SLEEPY EYE

The South-Central Minnesota Mental Health Conference is Wednesday at the Sleepy Eye Event Center.  The conference is coordinated by the Brown County Mental Health and Wellness Action Team.  It includes three keynote speakers – Garrett Ebeling of New Ulm and author of “Collapsed – A Survivor’s Climb from the Wreckage of the 35W Bridge.”  He will talk about the mental health struggles he faced and reclaiming purpose after trauma.  Emily Kreckelberg is a U of M Extension Educator and she will talke about what support is available for unique stress in agricultural communities.  New Ulm author Chris DT Gordon will talk about having a strong sense of gratitude, positivity and resilience as he overcame flesh-eating disease.  There will be breakout sessions.  Conference registration is full but a waiting list is available at tiny url dot com slash we should talk conf.
