Minneapolis ICE-Out

(Learfield News/Minneapolis, MN) — A large “ICE Out” march and protest is planned for this Friday in Minneapolis.

Minnesotans are asked to participate in a one-day pause on economic activity, meaning no work, no school, and no shopping, as a way of protesting ICE operations in the state.

Labor leaders are asking their workers to join the movement as long as it doesn’t violate union contracts.

Greg Nammacher, President of the local SEIU 26 says many local companies have approved for their union workers to join the one-day march and rally.
