Minnesota native wins NHRA in Brainerd

(Brainerd, MN/Minnesota News Network) — Duluth native Greg Anderson returned to his home state and won the Pro Stock division at the 43rd annual N-H-R-A Nationals at Brainerd International Raceway yesterday. Anderson beat Dallas Glenn in the finals and narrowed the gap in the season point standings. The 64-year-old Anderson was nearly flawless all weekend long in turning in his 111th career Pro Stock victory, which is first on the all-time list. Veteran Doug Kalitta turned in a win in the Top Fuel division, while Austin Prock registered a win in the Funny Car division.
