MINNESOTA RIVER VALLEY DRUG TASK FORCE INTERCEPTS SCAM

The Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force was called to investigate a suspicious package reported by a courier, who found it unusual that a transport service was requested to pick up a package and deliver it to a mail parcel facility.  Agents obtained a search warrant to examine the contents of the package.  Agents discovered a large sum of cash exceeding $25,000 and also able to identify the victim of the scam as a Brown County resident.  This recovery of funds is rare as most victims are unable to recover money once it has been sent to scammers, who agents determined were not local and appeared to be operating out of state.  Brown County Investigator Andrew Konechne has this advice…
