Minnesota’s Veterans Day Program Moved to Mankato

The official State of Minnesota Veterans Day Program is moving out of the Twin Cities metro area and will be at the Minnesota National Guard Armory in Mankato Tuesday.

Hosted by the Minnesota Department of Veterans’ Affairs, the annual event brings together veterans, families, elected officials and community members to recognize and celebrate the service of all U.S military veterans.

Brown County Veterans Service Officer Mike Montalto says this year will be the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two and will honor local World War Two vet Paul Wojahn of New Ulm.
