Only one team has punched its ticket to the Championship Series following Wednesday’s action. The Toronto Blue Jays have advanced to the A-L-C-S following a 5-2 takedown of the New York Yankees in Game Four in the Bronx. Nathan Lukes drove-in two runs and Seranthony Dominguez earned the win in relief to help the Jays win the best-of-five series 3-1. Elsewhere in the American League, the Detroit Tigers forced a Game Five with a 9-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners in the Motor City. In N-L-D-S action, the Chicago Cubs kept their season alive with a 4-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers at Wrigley Field. The Philadelphia Phillies rounded out a day of playoff play with a dominant 8-2 clobbering of the Dodgers in Los Angeles. The postseason continues with a pair of Game Fours on Thursday. The Dodgers will host the Phillies, while the Cubs entertain the Brewers.
