MLB Reinstates Rose and Jackson

(New York, NY/Minnesota news Network) — The late Pete Rose is being reinstated by Major League Baseball. The Cincinnati Reds great and “Shoeless” Joe Jackson are both being removed from M-L-B’s banned list. Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred stated the punishment for banned individuals ends upon their deaths. Their removal from the list opens the door for both to enter The Baseball Hall of Fame posthumously. Rose was banned for betting on baseball while manager of the Reds, while Jackson was banned for his role in the 1921 Black Sox Scandal.
