Mn Twins Go for the Sweep

The Minnesota Twins play an afternoon game against the Cubs today. First pitch is at 12:10 at Target Field. The Twins have won the first two games in this three-game series, including a 4-2 win last night. Today’s pitching matchup has Chris Paddack starting for the Twins against Colin Rea for the Cubs. After today’s game, the Twins will have a three-game home series against Pittsburgh before the All-Star Break.  Twins starter Joe Ryan has been named to the roster for the American League All-Star team. Ryan is a replacement for Houston pitcher Hunter Brown. Brown is starting on Sunday for the Astros, and All-Star pitchers who start on the Sunday before the break can be replaced on the league’s roster. It’s Ryan’s first All-Star appearance. He joins teammate Byron Buxton on the A-L roster.
