Montevideo Drive-By-Shooting Suspect in Custody

(Learfield News/Montevideo, MN) — A man is in custody following a drive-by shooting in Montevideo.

According to police, an adult male was arrested on felony charges on Wednesday in connection with a shooting that targeted an occupied residence.

The suspect has not yet made an initial court appearance.

Police acknowledge community concerns and emphasize that multiple reported drive-by and related shooting incidents are under active investigation.

Officials say public safety remains their top priority and credit strong collaboration with the CEE VI Drug/Gang Task Force, Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota DNR, Minnesota BCA, and other agencies for their efforts.
