Morris Area Halloween Activities
There will be many Halloween activities in the area on Friday!
— A Little Pumpkins Party will run from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Regional Fitness Center gym on the U of M Morris campus. From 9 to 10 a.m. will be Halloween coloring pages, Little Pumpkins free play, and Tiny Tots Trick or Treating around the gym. From 10 to 10:30 a.m. there will be a Mini Monsters Dance Party. Costumes are encouraged.
— Trick or Treating will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at Federated Church, 200 South Columbia Avenue in Morris. There will also be hot dogs, chips and hot chocolate on sale for $2 to support Fusion Youth Ministries.
— Morris Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Morris Trick or Treat with the Businesses from 3 to 5 p.m., offering a chance to show off costumes and trick or treat. Participating businesses include Ace Hardware, Local Thread Co., Old #1 Bar and Grill, Veero Ford, Jerry’s U-Save, Stevens County Museum, Morris Movie Theater, Inherit Clothing Company, Taco John’s, RUSC Kinship, Smith Automotive, B Inspired, Pizza Hut, Info Link Wireless, and Willie’s Super Valu. Heartland Motor Company will have treats from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
— The Spooky Saturdays movie series at the Morris Movie Theater will conclude this month’s offerings with a special free Halloween showing at 4 p.m. Friday of the 2012 animated film Hotel Transylvania. The featured Halloween movie for adults at the Morris Movie Theater will be, appropriately enough, Halloween with Jamie Lee Curtis at 11:59 p.m. Friday. Tickets for that show are $5. A Carved Pumpkin Contest will also be held that night. Bring yours into the movie theater by 11:30 p.m. to be entered.
— West Wind Village at 1001 Scotts Avenue in Morris will have a Halloween Carnival with games and prizes from 10 to 11 a.m. Costumes are optional. There will also be trick or treating from 4 to 5 p.m. inside the front door.
— Morris Area Child Care Center will have a Trunk or Treat starting at 6 p.m.
— Zion Lutheran Church will offer Goodies and God from 4 to 7 p.m.
— Trunk or Treat will run from 6 to 6:50 p.m. across from Hancock schools.
— Legacy Assisted Living will have Trick or Treating from 6 to 7 p.m.
— The Met Lounge Halloween Party begins at 9 p.m. in Morris, while a Halloween Costume Party at Spaulding’s Sports Bar in Chokio will begin at 8:30 p.m.
