Motor Vehicle Pursuit

A New London man, 25, is in custody for fleeing charges after leading Law Enforcement on a pursuit that began near Spicer, and ended on the Northwest side of Willmar covering approximately 19 miles. The pursuit was initiated by a CEE-VI Drug and Gang Task Force member who attempted to stop a motorcycle for excessive speed on highway 23 just east of County Road 9 outside of Spicer. At one point during the pursuit, the motorcycle was clocked by the Minnesota State Patrol doing 123 mph on the highway 23 bypass around Willmar. The motorcycle eventually came to a stop and the driver was arrested without incident near 15th Avenue and 30th St. NW in Willmar.

The CEE-VI Task Force was provided assistance from the Willmar Police Department, the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s and the Minnesota State Patrol during this incident.
