MSU Mankato heads to Softball Nationals

(Mankato, MN/Minnesota News Network) — The Minnesota State-Mankato softball team earned a berth into the N-C-A-A Division II Regional bracket with play set to start on Thursday in Edmond, Oklahoma. The 38-18 Mavericks will take on top-seed and host school Central Oklahoma to start the tourney on Thursday at 1 P-M. The Bronchos enter the event with a 46-8 record this season. The other two teams in the regional will play at 3:30 P-M on Thursday when Rogers State (OK) faces Pittsburg State (KS). The regional will run through Saturday with the winner advancing to the nationals.
