Name Released of Bicyclist Hit by Minivan

The name of the bicyclist that died after being hit by a minivan in Kandiyohi County Wednesday evening has been released.

He’s identified as 54-year-old Timothy Cayler of Lake Lillian.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office says Cayler was biking north of Svea when a 59-year-old woman, also from Lake Lillian, attempted to pass him in a minivan and as she entered the westbound lane, Cayler also veered into that lane and was struck.

Cayler died at the scene.
