Naz Reid wins 6th man of the year award

(Minneapolis, MN) — Minnesota Timberwolves forward Naz Reid is being recognized as the N-B-A’s best reserve for the 2023-24 season. The fifth-year pro was named N-B-A Sixth Man of the Year after averaging 13.5 points per game and 5.2 assists per game this season. He shot a career-high 41.4 percent from three-point range, helping Minnesota to a third-place finish in the Western Conference at 56-26. Sacramento Kings guard Malik Monk finished second in the voting. Per N-B-A communications, the 10-point difference between Reid and Monk was the smallest margin in the history of the current voting format, which started in the 2002-03 season. Minnesota could have other award winners as the postseason award season continues. Center Rudy Gobert (go-BARE) is one of three finalists for N-B-A Defensive Player of the Year, while Chris Finch is a finalist for N-B-A Coach of the Year.
