ND Man Arrested Following Accident That Left A Woman And Child With Serious Injuries

A North Dakota man was arrested following a crash near the Grand Forks Airport Monday. 

Travis Bell (43) of Fordville, was arrested for criminal vehicular injury following the accident at U.S. Highway 2 and Airport Road, about 3 miles west of Grand Forks.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, an SUV was sitting at a red light at the intersection when a pickup driven by Bell struck the vehicle from behind  shortly after 6:30 p.m.

The driver of the SUV, a 26-year-old woman from the Grand Forks Air Force Base, was taken by ambulance to Altru Hospital. A passenger in the SUV, a 5-year-old in a car seat, was airlifted to a Fargo hospital, both with serious injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
