ND Teen Seriously Injured After Allegedly Fleeing On A Motorcycle

A Gardner area teen was seriously injured after allegedly fleeing law enforcement on a motorcycle Saturday evening near Hillsboro. 

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Joshua Saint Claire (19) was charged with Felony Reckless Endangerment and Misdemeanor Fleeing after a reckless motorcycle was reported on Interstate 29 near the Mayville exit. Troopers attempted to initiate a traffic stop just before 9:30pm, but the bike sped off at a high rate of speed. The pursuit continued after the motorcycle exited I29. The driver failed to negotiate a curve on Traill County Highway 81, entered the west ditch, overturned a number of times, and came to rest in the ditch where the driver was ejected. 

Saint Claire was transported by ambulance, then life flighted to a local hospital with injuries troopers at the scene described as serious. 

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
