New Addition to McLeod County Veterans Memorial Park

There’s a new addition to McLeod County Veterans Memorial Park in Hutchinson, just in time for Memorial Day.

Two center sections from the traveling “Wall That Heals” Vietnam Veterans Memorial were mounted on granite and have been placed in the park.

The complete traveling wall was in Hutchinson in August and after the closing ceremonies, two new sections were installed and the sections now on display at the park were given to the McLeod County Veterans Memorial Park.

On Memorial Day, there will be a parade from the fire station on Jefferson Street to the park, with the program beginning at 10am.
